Tuesday, July 22, 2003: Memphis takes a kick in the pants |
| 6:40 am: i was somewhere between getting up and the snooze bar when i noticed something wasn't quite right outside. trees were swirling... and then snapping. while i had watched the news from the night before, nothing was said about a storm on its way. it wasn't until after everything had blown thru that we were told that sustained striaght line winds @100 mph had crossed the river and kicked our town right in the pants. |
